BOTS 2010 PARTICIPANTS - GARGI COLLEGE(Yeh Bhi Toh Hai Bhai Media)

It shows how news channels exaggerate news and thus promote violence in young adults. It also shows how women are portrayed as commodities in such advertisements. The play also deals with the fact, about how media (news reporters) interferes in the private lives of people.Partially the viewership patterns are also blamed in the sense that “jo bikta hai,vo dikhta hai”.
Then the play moves on to the positive side of media, showing trial by media (in cases like Jessica Lall and Priyadarshini Mattoo), importance of internet, importance of newspapers and the mass of audience it reaches. Here,it is also shown that how at the threshold of 21st century; it is the Indian movies which has kept up the spirit of patriotism and how Indians residing abroad also feel and maintain a connection with the country due to media. The play also highlights the various initiatives and movements like the jaago re campaign, the bell bajao campaign, Hindustan times’ BE THE CHANGE initiative etc… which has made the masses aware of the social evils present around them.
A section of the play also shows how, in many wars, journalists are taken under espionage and the government fails to provide them with an identity and how a journalist remains a commoner.
The play towards the end establishes the fact that how media is mainly a utility item. It is the fourth pillar of democracy.Media is just a tool, which shows the ongoings of the society and its use or misuse is in the hands of the audience.

BOTS 2010 Participants - Maharaja Agrasen College(Sabse Bada Ruppaiyya)
Dealing with the present-day negative influences of money, the play ‘SABSE BADA RUPPAIYYA’ is a combination of certain elements of realism as well as some satirical portrayals of historic past-time events. The play portrays the ill-effects that money has brought about in the various common fields of education, family relations, health sector, sports and quite interestingly, even history.
All in all, the play tries to put forth the message that money is just the means of a good quality contended life and not the ultimate aim. If made the ultimate aim, money distances people from everything and all you become os a maniac who is madly after money.
BOTS 2010 Participants - LSR(Woh Main Tha,Ya Tha Woh Tu)
The play initially comments on herd mentality and makes a satirical reference to the blind mob following. It acknowledges the limitation of the legal and the administrative set up in curtailing such behavior and urges individuals to protect the humanity in the face of violence.
Our sole motive of picking up this particular social issue ( mob mentality) is the fact that it cannot be delt by judiciary so we chose this particular medium to reach out to masses and appeal to their individual morality.

BOTS 2010 participants - ARSD College(Yeh Dilli Hai)
Topping the crime chart in the country for five years in a row and “not the place to be” if you happen to be a woman, there is a lot that the city needs to learn. A.R.S.D college came up with a street play highlighting the darker side of Delhi. Are we not all entitled with the responsibility of releasing our city from the clutches of rife crime? In order to resolve any issue, the root cause has to be exposed and scrutinized. Delhi reports a rise in number of rape cases and eve-teasing.
"yeh dilli hai..
ladki ki izzat na samjhe...
yeh dilli hai!!"
Several gangrapes, including one at Dhaula Kuan, Sultanpuri and Mandawali in east Delhi, raised uncomfortable questions about women safety in the city.
"Lut rahi ek abaru, phir bhi tu khamosh hai,
Lut raha tera shehar aur ab bhi tu behosh hai!!"
The street play raises an important question of how effectively we contribute to it by being mere spectators to such activities. Let us be the change!
BOTS 2010 participants - SRCC(Khel)
Politically controlled sports federations lack accountability and have further detoriated the sports culture in our country. Unfortunately, in India, politicians ,most with little ability in sports or expertise and their civil servant henchmen head almost all sporting organizations and remain entrenched for decades using their political clout .
In the final analysis, we have to accept there is something fundamentally wrong with the way sports is being run in the country. Muddling through and hoping for quick-fix solutions just won’t do. Relevant stakeholders need to put progress over partisanship for the greater national good and evolve constructive strategies. The message is clear. Act now and strive for gold or maintain the status quo and remain mired inmediocrity.

BOTS 2010 participants - Kamla Nehru college(Jashn)
Jashn does not disagree with the fact that problems exist in our country, but the production aims at showing the positives that exist within the ugly truths of our country. We are not asking you to ignore the wrongs and the evils, but make an effort to also notice the good things that exist and be proud of them.
“Bhale hji sau mein se hain nabbe beimaan, par unn das logon ki wajah se Mera Bharat Mahaan!”
(“Even though ninety out of hundred people in my country are corrupt, but I choose to be proud of the ten who are not.”)

BOTS 2010 participants - Hindu College(Klassroom)

This play makes an attempt to make people re-learn those way back learned gestures which are badly required today to make this world a better place to live in.. Human being, being the most amazing creation of god, definitely have the potential to amaze this world with their belief..
All we need to do is just believe in the belief that life’s good and we should make it better and best…
BOTS 2010 participants - Shivaji College (Disha)

The play shows how today's young minds are getting misled by ignorant lifestyles of their parents and the society around them. And how the Great Indian Family is no longer a reality due to which kids today are not familiar with their own heritage and culture.
We have been poised to see ourselves as superstars and accidentally they appear only on televisions for us. In a 'Kick Ass' attempt we en route psychopathic idols - this illustrated through an idiot box spoof is a hilarious indulge. The failure in the attempt has been met fatally.

Hum Kya Sikhayenge: Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies

The play "Hum Kya Sikhayenge" deals with the many routine instances where we show this lethargy of convenience, and console ourselves saying it is the government and its laws which are at fault. We say we are progressing, but as a society, are we really bettering ourselves? Be it littering, road rage, vandalizing public property or eve-teasing, the dearth of civic sense shows up in each of our actions, despite the fact that we know what is right and what is wrong. It is this irony that makes us ask, "Hum kya sikhayenge?"
Backed by some astonishing facts and figures, the play highlighted the importance and the need for self governance to overcome this problem. It ends raising hope in its audience, showcasing how an individual, standing alone, too, can initiate the process of change.
Kyunki Mard Ko Dard Hota Hai: Jesus and Mary College

‘KYUNKI MARD KO DARD HOTA HAI’ is a play based on men’s oppression. The play basically reflects how in today’s world a man go through all the trials and tribulations and can’t even express his emotions in front of the society because they believe in the stereotype that a man is strong and can’t be weak in front of the world. The production of JMC was all about breaking this stereotype.
