Be Artsy as a company is all about using art as a tool to bring about a revolution and to empower the youth to contribute to the society. The first initiative of the company, Be on the Street, was all about giving the company ideology meaning and shape. 16 teams of Delhi University got together to spread awareness about social and environmental issues by ways which are appealing to human emotions.
This initiative was strongly supported by PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) to whom youth is the agent of change in the society. People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) is the largest animal rights organization in the world, with more than 2 million members and supporters. However, in a country like India, the cause is yet to find its place amongst important social issues. We thank PETA for their continuing support and would take the cause far and wide during the PAN India Street Theatre Festival this year.
PS: We would like to thank Ms. Puja Mahajan for this tie up.
